A masjid following the Qur'an and Sunnah providing religious and community services to Reading and the surrounding areas

From Generation to Generation: Building a Legacy That Never Ends
Every generation builds something. But only a few build something that lasts. Our masjid was built through the sacrifice of those before us. Today, it stands as a place of prayer, learning, and community — serving us now because someone once thought beyond themselves. The question before us is simple:How do we ensure it continues to serve those who come after us?
The Challenge We Face
Our Youth Are Drifting AwayWe're losing our young people—not because they lack faith, but because we lack the resources to nurture it. Without qualified teachers and meaningful long-term programmes, our youth are left without the guidance they desperately need. Our Capacity Is Shrinking

Youth needs are increasing, but long-term programmes remain limited

Sustainable higher-level education is difficult to maintain

Community and revert support services struggle to develop

Costs continue to rise while resources are stretched thinner each year

The cost of everything keeps rising. What once cost £5 per hour now costs £10 or more. Our community's needs grow while our ability to meet them keeps shrinking.
The Vision: A Masjid That Serves Every Generation
Imagine a masjid that can provide:

One or two-year tarbiyyah programmes that genuinely transform our youth

Full-time youth workers dedicated to developing our young people

Revert support services that welcome and nurture new Muslims

Da’wah initiatives that reach the wider community

This isn't a distant dream—it's an achievable reality. But it requires a different approach.
The Solution: Waqf—Investment in Perpetuity
Your donation today serves the masjid today.Your Waqf serves the masjid repeatedly, forever.Waqf creates an investment that generates recurring income. Instead of spending your contribution once, we invest it wisely. The capital remains protected while the returns fund essential masjid services—year after year, generation after generation.
How It Works
When you contribute to G2G, your funds are pooled into a sustainable investment. For example:

A £100,000 pooled investment could generate £500-£1,000 in monthly income

This income flows consistently, funding qualified teachers, youth programmes, scholar visits, and community services

The original capital keeps growing, meaning the impact increases over time

Your legacy continues long after you're gone

Like buying gold that appreciates in value, your Waqf doesn't just maintain its worth—it grows. The value keeps increasing. The impact never stops.
Your Legacy Doesn't Have to End
In the blessed nights of Ramadan, we ask Allah for forgiveness. But we also ask ourselves: What will still benefit us when we're gone? The Prophet ﷺ said: "When a person dies, all their deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for them." (Muslim)Waqf is the ultimate Sadaqah Jariyah—ongoing charity that serves the Ummah for generations.Your donation today will cover the masjid's needs today. But as costs rise and needs expand, that single donation will eventually run out. Your Waqf will look after sections of the masjid that become more expensive as time goes on.Make it sustainable. Make it a Waqf. Make it a legacy for every generation.
How You Can Contribute
There are three direct ways to build this legacy:

Make a direct donation to the Waqf fund (preserves your wealth for eternal benefit)

Become a fundraiser (multiply your impact by inspiring others)

Start your own team (rally your family, friends, and colleagues around this mission)

Every contribution, large or small, becomes part of a permanent endowment that will serve our community—and earn you rewards—for years, decades, and generations to come.G2G — A legacy for every generationJoin us in building something that truly lasts.
